About
 The City Bank Ltd. (CBL) is a pioneer private sector bank in Bangladesh. Established in 1983, it carries an intention to bring qualitative changes to the banking sector of Bangladesh. It currently has 82 branches spread throughout the country, and several foreign correspondences with international banks. It is responsible for spearheading the usage of credit cards and ATM systems throughout the country. It has been awarded multiple awards from distinguished government and private institutions.
Challenge
With more than 80 branches spread nationwide, CBL needed a method of keeping the information resource centralized. Policy manuals, data sheets, and forms all required a centralized system for distribution. Furthermore, they required a setup to control permissions on each document. Most important of all, their mandatory requirement was a secure system that would tie into their current user authentication system.
Solution
The intranet system requirements of CBL were all available out of the box using Siteplate. Only two custom plugins were created, one used login into their Intranet setup and another for their secure connection setup. The Intranet deployment was completed in less than two weeks, inclusive of the creation of the content and file uploads. The system was deployed over a secure IP connection allowing access to only those who were verified.
Results
The outcome of deploying an ECMS was very well perceived by CBL. They were able to communicate to all their branches and deploy information rapidly. The secure setup allowed them to control content viewing, permitting users to view information they had permission to view.
